I just noticed that there is a very slow drip from my 2 door fridge through the outdoor "tube" that dispenses the water...any ideas on how to fix?

FIX it asap! It may develop into a bigger leak! Are you sure it isn't the icemaker that is leaking?

yes turn the water off to the ice maker. Do you have an easily accessible turn off valve on the line?

I wish I knew...when I get home tonight I will pull out the fridge and see what's there.

i got the same problem with my fridge. it's a later model side by side with ice and water dispenser. i noticed a leak actually a puddle on the floor after i connected the water feed to the coupling on the back. the ice (which i only would use) works fine. guess i have to take it apart and find out what is preventing it from completely shutting off. and i just looked at the date on the post.
