Has anyone ever used one of those Closet makeover companies?
I'm looking to have my closet updated with lots of storage. Just wondering if anyone ever used Closet Factory, etc. IF so, how did it go and in the long run how much did it cost?

Yes I did. It looks like builtin furniture. I debated over a year because it was a little expensive, but oh how beautiful it looks. I am so glad I had it done.

Thanks so much..I'm thinking it will be worth it to get rid of all the bulky furniture out of our bedroom.

i have never used it, but i have noticed you can buy the pieces and put your own "closet" together... my sister has one in her home and i remember being shocked at how much money it cost her then (10 years ago)....

I used one for my garage
Put wall storage in my 2 car garage; very happy with it. I've got 4 full height cabinets with doors, one full height open shelving unit, and a cabinet with doors over my washer & dryer. Cost me about $1,800 about 3 years ago. My husband is a pack rat, and now all his junk can go inside where I don't have to trip over it or look at it!

yes, i got an estimate from california closets for my bedroom walk-in. called a local guy who uses the same materials and he was 1/2 the price. i LOVE it and think it was well worth the cost. but check out your local biz - they can do the same thing for cheaper, since they have less overhead, advertising expenses, etc.

You could also get estimates from a few closet companies, then take the details of what you want to a good local carpenter or cabinetmaker and have the same thing made for you out of real wood instead of wire, plastic and fiberboard. It will probably cost you less, too. To save even more $, stain or paint it yourself.
Just like kitchen cabinetry, closet storage is nothing more than a collection of fancified wood boxes (with or without doors).
