Actually, that is an older design than the toggle and rocker types. However, some people like them to keep the vintage charm.

I have both of these dimmer switch styles throughout my home along with 4 rocker switches without dimmers.

Neither: push button antique reproductions from Van Dyke's restorers. They even make 3 way and dimmers in that style.

I didn't vote as we have both types in our farm house. However, our rent house and city home have the silent toggle type.

Hard to vote here.... most are rocker style, but ALL are computer controlled. (It IS fun when you can turn on any light, or a whole bunch of other things, when you are on the opposite side of the planet).

And I agree with the OP... these polls are ridiculous, except for those that have nothing else to do.
