I keep finding these bugs in my house, always around the windows. They can fly a bit, but usually they are just crawling around the frame. What the heck is it? (sorry for the blurry photo, it didn't stay still to get its picture taken!).

Help please - what kind of bug is this?-window-bug.jpg

Capture them in a towel or something and toss them outside - do NOT squish them - hence the name Stink Bug.

Yup, those photos are definitely a perfect match. Ugh. Thanks. Yet another thing to bring to my LL's attention.

Yeah some areas tend to get them more than others. I notice they aren't around all year long so that's a plus. Just what ever you do never never never be tempted to squish one. OMG the stink you never forget. They look like they belong in the times of roaming dinosaurs LOL.

We used to flush them without squishing... but that used too much water.
We now tap them with a piece of duct tape. fold over and seal the edges.

I had a cat who waited until they landed on the screen door. Then he had lunch.

Ugh, I have these. The first one I found came out of a shelf I have on the wall. I freaked out. I thought maybe I had some sort of bug infestation. Never saw a bug like this before. I googled it. Ya, squashing them isn't good. I didn't notice a smell but they ummm splatter quite grotesquely. Now I just kind of snap em with a fly swatter, pick em up with tissue and throw away. In a span of about 6 or 7 months, I have found about 6 of them thus far. ACK.

I don't see by me that much anymore but I will never forget that smell. The last time I did see a few I didn't kill them i always ran for a jar and slid a piece of paper under it and then out the window they went. Done.
