Hi all: I wanted to get your opinion on how to clean my travertine walls/floor in my bathroom shower. Most of the products I see have a note to stay away from natural stone. I currently use the DuPont StoneTech products. But the actual mold doesnt go away (in some parts of shower). We turn on the air vent and leave the door open to help the humidity go away.

What products do you recommend for good shower cleaning that are not harmful to travertine? I appreciate any comments/advise.

You might check out this one:

Mold & Mildew Stain Remover

I have not tried it myself --- no travertine in my house.

Is the mildew on the stone or in the grout?

Thanks I will take a look. The problem is on the grout but can't spray some product that could potentially harm the stone. I called the stone guy who sealed them but he seems to be MIA

Two brands have worked for me in the past:

X-14 and Lysol Mold & Mildew Cleaner.

You may want to try this:

Get the tile and grout really clean and free of mold/mildew, etc. Make sure it's dry. Use the Dupont/Stone Tech product called Bullet Proof on the stone and the grout joint. Clean and re-apply every 6 months - 1 year.

Something else: Are you sure it's mold/mildew? I had an orange-rust discoloration on my tile/grout from time to time for a few years. I thought it was a mold/mildew issue. Turned out to be that my water source was the culprit. Whole house filter stopped it, and my water tasted better as well.
