The home that we live in has two storage rooms that you access from the outside. I have recently found several black widows in these rooms and was thinking about sealing the cracks between the door jamb and walls and floor and walls with either caulk or Great Stuff in an effort to keep them out of our stuff in the storage rooms. My concern is that any spiders/etc. that are in the walls when I seal will then find their way into our home since they will be sealed off from entering the storage area. Any thoughts on this or any other ideas on fixing this problem?
You have little to no chance of keeping them out. You can seal it up if you want to, but they will still show up. The eggs will be all over the place and you will never get rid of them. Fumigate every three months or even more often, and you should be able to keep them controlled.
What about natural chemicals like borax or baking soda? Wouldn't the spiders inside of the wall just leave the way they got in, if the cracks are sealed?

If they can leave the way they got in, then you have not sealed all of the cracks and they will not leave. They might die off if you seal every crack, hole or pathway. However that is nearly impossible to do. I am not sure if it would work, but you might be able to drive them out by simply heating the room really super hot. Fumigating is cheaper and less dangerous though.
