Yes, pool stuff is a littler better.

The good stuff will come from a driller.

What kind of well do you have????

Can you get anything down it???

I would never bury galvanized pipe in the ground.

It doesn't hold up to corrosion.

We have a submersible well, with a post and attachment that sticks up out of the ground. The pump is pretty new, replaced about 5-7 years ago. We have been here 18 years and never shocked the well. Is it pretty simple to do? Maybe we should call our plumber to do it the first time, and show us how.

You can do this....just be sure to pour the chlorine down the inside wall of the well.

Then hook up a garden hose and after you smell the chlorine....wash the inside of the well down.

Let this sit over night...then pump it out.

In areas where the well guys are licensed by an appropriator authority they probably can speak to the safety of various ways of connecting the potable water.

In some areas wells are only allowed for irrigation or fire suppression.

Yep.....well drillers drill and hook up wells.

In Michigan it is very difficult to get a license as it is in most states.
