I bought all new bathroom fixtures from faucet.com, they were excellent to deal with. However, the faucets I chose were the rubbed oiled bronze. I bought "Kingston Brass" brand. I am not happy with the products at all, they were not even cheap either.

The cartridges on the vanity hot and cold water had to be replaced within 2 weeks as the water saver was so bad, there was literally no water pressure. It is somewhat better now, but the water splatters all over and is not aireated, I think. The hot water lever side squeeks when it is turned.

The drain thing in both the vanity and tub have all the bronze wore away, thus showing brass, which is what i replaced. The company sent me 2 new drains, but to no avail, they too are wearing away.

the tub spout also splatters water, it does not flow out with an almost air like sound, but more like a splattering sound.

The faucets look great, that's why I chose that look, but are not wearing well at all.

Cheaper bathroom faucets I see when i go to restaurants and the like are probably 50 bucks, and the water comes out better than mine.

So no, Kingston brass is not a good product, but the company which sells many products, faucet.com was very helpful to me.

BTW, the faucets are not even a year old. November will be a year. They help up terribly.

Let me clarify. The reason I'm looking to update the bath hardware is because we're selling the house.

Unfort, the buyers today are hooked on HGTV and don't want to do jack and just move in.

that's because they are brainwashed into thinking that a house will be completely done and fully updated to the nearest millionth of a second.

While I do understand what you are trying to do, just because something is "updated" doesn't mean that the next buyer will like your taste....kinda like saying I have to have granite....um, hello, there are about a billion colors of granite, who is to say the granite the seller picks out will be likeable to the buyer.....or is it just acceptable because it is granite???

Boy, wait till my parents become Angels, I am just painting the whole entire house "off white", ceiling, walls, mouldings....and that is it. I am not leaving so much as a screw in the house....and that will be tough. LOL , i am not doing a thing....and anything I get for the house to me is found money, because it wasn't mine to begin with.
