I am thinking about building a 3/8 45' geodesic dome with a 6' riser from an Albata geodesic dome kit. Does anyone have insight, experience, or knowledge of this company and their dome kits? I can't imagine cutting insulation for the interior so I was thinking spray insulation. Electrical wires under the insulation? This seems like an undesireable situation. Are there any issues with this or am I parranoid? Does anyone have an idea of how much it would cost to shingle this dome? If I were to hire someone I don't know if I could feel comfortable that someone would be experieced with this type of roof, especially when I'm paying for long life shingles. I have done pitched roofs before but this is an entirely new animal.
