Granite
I have one last comment about this and I'm outta here. The statement that these houses must have granite countertops is absolute rubbish. The fact is, that even kitchens with granite countertops aren't all the same. Like anything else, there are different styles, different colors, different cabinets. So, even if you demand granite, you may not like the kitchen that has granite countertops.
I'M OUTTA HERE.

I love the sink!
I found the original sink for my 1916 Craftsman in the garage (thank God)
and I'm going to have it put back in - thinking of going with this for countertops:

I can't wait to watch HGTV in 2020. There will be some young couple looking to buy their first home when the wife walks into the kitchen and exclaims, "the Bush-era granite countertops look very dated, we need to tear that out and put in some stainless steel."

You are a little bitter for a 61 year old woman who should be enjoying her golden years in Southern California. Duarte is a great little town. Has Arnold made you mad or something? I seem to recall you saying how gratefull are to be alive due to a near death experience yet you spent about 40 posts complaining about your extreme hatred of granite countertops. Seems a tad 2 faced to me, does it to you? Well I too had one, I actually was killed by a damn drunk driver and here I am today very gratefull the Paramedics never gave up on me. I dont feel any gratefullness from you, only hatred.
Buying and selling homes for decades huh. So do you advise your clients to steer clear of a house if it has that dreaded granite? Wow. Just wow. What did granite ever do to you anyway? Please advise.
