Default Connecting a dishwasher

My dishwashing machine isn't fully connected.

The power goes on, and there is a tube which brings dirty water out - but there is no tube connecting the pipes under the sink to it which would bring water IN for dishwashing.

I was wondering whether this is something I will absolutely need a plumber to do for me, but I don't want to spend unnecessary money.

What tools might I need? And if I go w/ a plumber how much am I looking to spend?

It needs a hot water supply line which is usually an dual angle stop (shot off valve) with (typically) both a half inch outlet for the faucet flex line and a 3/8's inch outlet for the copper tubing going from the shut off to the dishwasher inlet connector. There's a kit that usually comes with a new dishwasher that has all the parts you'll need. A skilled handyman can do it if you have no plumbing experience.
