I like these trends better, but it's a little annoying to click through them. #6 is a turquoise counter! <3

You like turquoise kitchens? I'll show you a very cool turquoise kitchen (or aquamarine, as they say in the article)!!

Oops! Forgot the link! Duh!
Top 12 Kitchen Trends

LibraGirl123, I've seen that one before. I love the color! I love retro too, but I think for my house, euro would look better. I love orange too, so it'll be fun to see what we come up with in a few years.

I don't know about you- but I find nothing "new" about the trends this author writes about. And one I believe is not a trend, and I certainly hope it doesn't become one- I'll let you guess for yourself which one that is!

I don't know who the author is- but my guess would be someone who's trying to sell something that no one really wants. But he's determined to convince you otherwise; or his payment(s) for endorsements will wither away.
We are getting closer to our remodeling job so I am looking for ideas, I didn't see anything that was much different than we have been seeing for the past few years except maybe getting away from freestanding appliances and the island idea. I would have an island in a second if our kitchen was ever 6 inches wider...As for the colors, I still want to be careful so when we sell, the colors won't be completely dated. turquoise is a bit over the top I think.

Now I say, we are getting closer, the truth is: we are getting closer to having the money to get closer..

Ah yes, those built in appliances. I don't know how many kitchen remodels I have worked on that came about because the homeowners couldn't find built-ins (ovens, cooktops, etc.) that fit the cabinets for the built-ins from the 60s.

I'm just glad two-toned cabinetry is still a la mode because I'm selling a house that has it...I've hated it since we moved in a couple years ago. It just feels 'off' to me.

I didn't do a trend in my kitchen re model, I did what I want to look at. I created a look that works for me. It took a long time to make my mind up and figure everything out, but it was worth it to me. I am happy with the look.

trends, a fad....all go out of style fast.

You have to pick or create something that will stand the test of time, not something that will be out dated in 5 years. A good example is the glass tile back splash. trust me, they will be going out of style. if not already, because to me they are ugly.

and I have zero interest in what anyone thinks a potential buyer might like if in the event I sell, which I'm not....
