" What is the view from your kitchen sink..."
(Window? What window?)

How about a tile backsplash! Like blam! In your face.
Exciting, I know.

I personally find that the kitchen sink + window is a waste.
I used to when I lived in a beach community, I lived 1/2 block from the ocean on the second story, the houses and apt buildings between mine and the ocean were all one story, so my window looked out onto the ocean and a large fishing pier, I could watch the sunset into the ocean in the evenings, and the surfers, I have some gorgeous pictures taken from that window. I didn't have a dishwasher, so it made handwashing more enjoyable.

Now I live in a beautiful house that I love, but my kitchen sink window just looks onto my driveway, and the street I live on. I see people walking their dogs, and kids running around, it's not a bad view since I love my neighborhood, but I don't really gaze out that window much, I have a dishwasher now anyway. I have an island for prep work so I'm not really looking out the window, but my kitchen has 3 huge windows so it's super bright, I do like that.

A little courtyard type area, the driveway, carriage house, a bunch of cars, the boat, woods.

Those wondiws for us are more about letting light in than looking out. We have a box winodow and it is stuffed with cobalt blue glass which is very pretty when sunlight shines on and through it. There are some plants in that window too. Most of the people in our family are too short to see out that window anyway, excet maybe to look at the tops of some trees and the sky.

We have 3 windows in front of the kitchen sink. Didn't buy the house because of that, it just happened to be that way. The previous owners custom built the house and they took advantage of being on a hill with unobstructed view for miles. We live in a neighborhood but doesn't feel like it...large lots, lots of trees, etc. I'm always in the kitchen so I love having lots of light and being able to see out.

I don't have a window. I wish I did. My last apartment looked directly into the opposite apartment's kitchen window.

Like jetgraphics, the view is not something that would be a huge deal to me. But it would be nice to have a window merely for light and ventilation.

Terraced grass hillside with a hedge across the top. Not exciting or pretty, but nice and private.

The back yard lawn, then woods. In the winter I can just make out the neighbors houses, in the summer I can't see them at all.
