Several neighborhoods in Detroit are just as nice. The media show only the worst of the city and it drives me crazy.
I'd love to see more pictures of homes in Detroit's pretty neighborhoods if you can find some. We have some other great neighborhoods but I'm having trouble finding pictures of the ones I want to share. I might go out with my camera this week and take some pictures.

Windsor, Ontario. Neighbourhood of Walkerville (former town of)
Walkerville was developed as a company town, around the distillery of Hiram Walker around 1880 or so. This is where Canadian Club was born. The smells from the distillery still waft over this little gem, everyday.
The first picture, shows the rowhouses Walker built for his employees.
Easily the prettiest neighbourhood in this lunch bucket city.
Here is the Canadian Club offices

Walkerville High School
This is the Low-Martin house.....built with rumrunning money (as are a fair number of homes below), this was the childhood home of former Canadian Prime Minister, Paul Martin.
St. Mary's Church. Erected by Hiram Walker in memory of his wife.
There are too many things to post.......so I might just leave it there.
It's beautiful! I love the old stately architecture. Thank you so much for sharing. I want to visit Windsor!
You're quite welcome, Hopes! Just keep in mind, most of the city is just modest factory worker houses. lol
