Why are Americans so dirty compared to Europeans who seem to understand the importance of hygiene?
Because this country still has a strong puritanical streak and bidets are for..... you know..... <<clears throat>>>>> certain parts...... ummm... the unmentionable area.....
Could it have something to do with the "size" of American's and the increased "real estate' that their posterior's cover? Rather than a bidet, some may need a pressurized hose.
Hummm... That is a feature they did not put in my add-on toilet seat bidet - a dog drinking fountain! My dog would surely love that being as he prefers toilet water to anything else. (My seat only works if you are sitting on it.)
That's the only problem with the seat bidets--they don't have the ability to operate when you aren't on them. Totally cuts dogs and cats out of the mix. And if you want to wash your feet or some other object, you can't. Given today's technology, one would think that bidet-seat makers could trigger a dog fountain when a dog-sized creature approached the toilet. Might backfire when a young kid gets near though.
Also, although I'm personally allergic to cats, I like them a lot, and it seems as if cats also like bidets. Just search "cat in bidet" on YouTube, and you'll have plenty of entertainment.
I use wet wipes after I've wiped very well with TP. I don't use the flushable ones, I just toss them into my tiny garbage pail after wrapping them in a few pieces of clean TP. I empty my garbage every day BTW. For those of you who want to say EWW, it is no dirtier or smellier than a used women's hygene product. I like a clean tush!
Somehow, smearing crap around my butt with tp does not seem that cleansing.
OK so now I'm two rep points short on your posts because the site has prevented me from giving it to you. This is exactly my thought. If a dog pooped on a tile floor, nobody would, uh, "clean it up"... by mashing it around the floor with dry paper towels until the poop was "gone". But that's pretty much what people do to their butts, and call it a job well done. Not. Good. Enough.
