We will have a very cold night this week with temperatures below 0 F. I have relatives visiting from Texas that day, and don't know what temperatures people down there are used to in the winter. My Guest bedroom is usually around 58 F when temperatures are below 0 F outside (Thermostat setting is usually 65 F on winter nights). Will that be a cold room temperature in the winter for people down south.
Its 56 F inside my room right now, and I am freezing in short sleeves. The heat is set at 68 F and other rooms feel quite a bit warmer. Why is my room significantly colder in winter . Outside its 14 F with a windchill of 5 F.
63 at night, 64 during the day. A little lower than what I use to do. But with the cost of oil, its tough. I'd love to be more comfortable.
I just filled my 275 gallon tank on Thanksgiving and already at about the point I need more oil. Sucks. My furnace is nearly 25-30 years old, wish I had the money to upgrade it.
As we get acclimated over the years, we lower the temperature. We all like it at around 60-62. If the heat has to come on, we prefer it to be around 59-60. If guests are coming over though we crank the heat up to 68 and put on shirts and shorts.
