Yes, the photo makes the backsplash look green.

The kitchen isn't my style, but the new kitchen is better than the old. It is brighter for one thing. The old kitchen looked like a dark office in the corner of a big room.

You did a fine job! : )

  • Moen 90-Degree One-Handle High Arc Pullout Kitchen Faucet in Classic Stainless (model S7170CSL), with Kohler escutcheon plate and Newport Brass cover cap. Note the handle is normally mounted on the side, but since I did not have enough clearance in the back for the full range of motion, I mounted it to the front. I like this better anyways, since it's easy to operate with either hand.

  • Black outlets with dark bronze metal wallplates
  • Under cabinet LED lighting
  • Black window valance
  • FLOR custom floor runners
  • Rev-a-shelf pull-out trash and recycling bins
I think it looks pretty da*mn good. As long as the the backsplash color is *really* grey, & not the Linda Blair green puke color from the "Exorcist".

The Faucet looks killer; how did you come up with all that: "Moen 90-Degree One-Handle High Arc Pullout Kitchen Faucet in Classic Stainless (model S7170CSL), with Kohler escutcheon plate and Newport Brass cover cap"? My mind reels just from going to HD & picking out a new $100 faucet.

The "Rev-a-shelf pull-out trash and recycling bins".......whoa! My kitchen "trash bin" is a small $5 Rubbermaid trash basket/can that I put grocery store plastic bags in.....I like to think it has a sort of "proletarian shabby nobleness" to it......

PS--what did the whole thing cost?

Phoenix,
Looks very good! I love the gray!
The only suggestion I would have is buy red hand towels to replace
the blue ones in the pic on the stove, and buy a red blender to keep on
the counter.
3 reds, including the red painted part on the island.
Perfect.
I absolutely love your choice of pendant to put over the island.
I want it.
Love love love it!
Good Job!

Like it, except for the "food" on top of the fridge. Looks tacky.

Congrats! I really like it. I am envious of your recycle and trash bins. We didn't have room for those in our remodel. I like the tiles.

It's a nice little kitchen. Since you have an open floor plan, put all your bodybuilder supplements in the pantry.

It looks tacky to have name-brand labels out in the open like that.
