I never thought about it before we bought this house. Now I would think more about it because EVERYBODY asks me to spell my street name. However, there are street names nearby with our last name and both are first names (adjacent to each other). They are two lane roads though so no houses on them to buy.

Wow I didn't know that! I went to maui many years ago and saw many pretty waterfalls. Thanks for telling me . Knowing where the word came from would make a difference in wanting to live on that street.

There is a subdivision near here with all "golfer" names (no, it is not on a golf course). To me, a non-golfer, it is just annoying. We looked at a house on "Jack Nicklaus Way" (corner of Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer Way) and didn't like the house anyway, but the name of the street would have given me a moment's pause, had I actually liked the house.

Also not fond of subdivisions with the names of the developer's children - Brittany Street, Tiffany Terrace, Brian Way, etc.

I had a acquaintance that lived on Gay St. When asked for his address he would answer "**** don't laugh, Gay St." He loved it.

My daughter loves that show ( especially the older episodes). What a shame the lady who played that character on the simpsons has died.

There's a street called Jackass Hill not far from me. Very nice homes with million-dollar views. I'd live there.

I would love to live on a street w/ a silly street name. It makes it easier to remember too for friends/family, and can be a good conversation starter.

Houston has a street that is really called Memory Lane. But whenever I think of funny names, it isn't a street name that comes to mind. It's a city I visited: Truth or Consequences, NM.
