Does anyone know if we can get this part as a replacement for a crank out window. I don't know what to call it but it is the latch on the window. I've searched online but haven't seen anything that looks like it. I don't even know the brand of window. Thanks in advance for any help

If all else fails, send the pic to SWISCO at this webpage. They will try and identify it for you

Help Identifying a Replacement Part : SWISCO.com

(any chance it is part of a larger assembly ??)

When you say "crank out" window are you talking about a casement window, or an awning window?

That looks like a hinge slider (for a casement window)-

If that's the piece you're talking about, you'll need to find out who the manufacturer is to get the replacement part. More than likely though you'll have to buy a replacement mechanism- the whole thing in the diagram.

It is a casement window and I think it is a component of the primary window/sash lock from some pictures I have seen. I did send a message to swisco because I can't find the entire locking mechanism in the color we need.

They helped me identify a window channel balance via their forums, hopefully they'll be able to help you, too.
