Not sure if this is the right forum to post this question but....

Can someone answer me as to how or why insurance would pay if your house is condemned?
What happens if your house gets condemned and it is more $$ to fix then it is worth?

Default Probably something to ask the insurance company first

Might be one of those deals where the devil is in the details. What does your policy cover and all of its in's and out's.

I would at first understand what and why the insurance has a position on the matter and what they are basing it on. I never like insurance company's much, they never seem to be straight shooters.

But it would seem to me, the first place to start. Sure would not sign anything without a full understanding of what I am signing.
