We wish to remodel the kitchen in our old 84' double wide, but the old gas stove range hood needs to be removed because of it's location in the middle of the kitchen. Anyhow, having taken the underside out (fan, filter etc.) we cannot see where the unit attaches from above the ceiling (see attached pic). Does anyone know how these attach so that we can remove it? Thanks-

Since you're remodeling I'm sure a sledgehammer will remove it with ease.

What was wrong with the suggestion above?
Do you want to save and reuse the hood in your remodel?

Maybe try climbing on the roof and looking to see if you can see how it's attached up there? I'm assuming it's vented out the roof.

Take the suspended ceiling tiles down and look where it goes. It is probably attached at the roof line.
It will have to be removed from the roof, so take off the ceiling tiles and follow it up to the roof. You'll find the attachment somewhere along it/
