I have one of those glazed (porcelain?) tubs. Somehow managed to get what looks to be grout dust/mixture onto the non-skid surface on the bottom. The brown grout color has now absorbed into the non-skid surface. What can I do to get it off? I've tried haze remover, washing with regular household cleaners. I need some really heavy duty stuff that won't kill me in the process.

Anyone know of anything?

We will be listing our home in the near future and I don't want prospective buyers thinking that this stuff is dirt. It's fairly faint but still noticeable.

Thanks in advance!

Gotta know what the additive was that made that certain color. From there you usually can find a nuetralizing element/chemical.

Minerals of one kind or another are the usual additives for colorants- titanium oxide, ferrous oxide, etc.

I have no idea if this will work, but it certainly does it fair share of stain removal- and who knows it may work for this- Barkeeper's Friend.

You need an acid to remove dried grout. Try vinegar. It's acidic. And a scrub brush.

If that doesn't work, buy Miracle sulflamic acid crystals. It will do the job, and it won't kill you.
