How hard is it to install a kitchen countertop? I doing this myself instead of hiring it out. The price to install my countertop at one store was 200.00 dollars and another store wanted 600.00 which is way to high for this small kitchen I think. Countertop is 14 foot long in two sections. Lowes cabinet and counter sales talk like it wasn't that hard to install.

That depends on the number of inside corners...
and how out of square the walls are.

That's more than fair.

A counterbottom is more difficult to install and costs double that of a counterTOP

It's not too hard. The corner and the seam will be the hardest part for you. How long is each section? You will need to lay the countertop upside down on buckets or something like that in order to put the miter bolts and glue on the seam. Get someone to help you lift the counter top back onto the cabinets. Getting it in place and screwed on is then easy. The next hard part is cutting out for the sink. There is no room for mistakes.

Good luck, watch the videos and take it slow…and have a helping hand.

You can put down exterior plywood, along with an edge piece, gluing it to the cabinet, then cover with the tile of your choice, including granite tile.
