Big improvement...nice!

Brick (and stone) look good INside, too! I bricked up a whole corner of our living room where the wood stove is, not just the hearth. Makes the whole area look classy! (and warm!).

Yes. The house to the left has similar if not the same type of siding. I would not doubt that the same people did it. The owner was amazed how it turned out and even asked my guy about possibly doing theirs. His response was unless you are ready to spend up to $20K if you start ripping out the siding because it is possible that the bricks/walls are in such poor condition that requires a new face. Remember, these are bricks homes. There is another of brick behind this. I think most of the resident on the block is very happy to see that it's being restored (especially the old timer who have been there 60+ years)

I was very lucky to find that the bricks were not as bad as I could have imagine. I was prepared for the worse case scenario at the beginning of the project (spending the full amount to rebuild the entire front). The worse was around the entry doorway where the previous owner decided to expand the front door to 36" to put in the storm door. It is now changed back to a 33" opening.

I am probably going to end up letting this property go as the quick spruce up have turned into new windows through along with new central HVAC brand new kitchen with hardwood throughout. Rent amount is good but I am at a point now where it makes more sense to sell and use the proceed to buy another 2-3 rental unit to fix up and rent it out.

Nice work landlord!

I think a significant part of the improvement comes from things like the windows and lack of clutter in the second photo, but the improvement in the bricks is definitely significant and sets a better tone for the property. Granted, I love bricks as a building material. I find brick buildings that have been maintained to be beautiful.
