They're coming back between 2 and 5 today to fix. I just mentioned to them that if this wouldn't be acceptable in a high-end mansion (and it wouldn't) it shouldn't be in my little house either. Hopefully will post a decent update pic today...
Good luck…I hope it turns out beautiful. That's what it should be
I hope they can improve it for you! Although honestly, it's hard to tell in the photo but it doesn't strike me as quite as horrible as it seems to feel to you. So hopefully, between them tweaking and you getting used to having a seam (and it will be noticeable no matter what, they are never invisible), you'll end up happy with your lovely new counter!
Just wondering if the whole area was cleaned after installation and before the picture was taken. There will always be some dust, etc. in that area created during installation. Until the entire top is washed thoroughly, sometimes several times, there will be areas where they worked that will seem to show up more just because of the dust residue.
The quartz companies that we use at the building center where I work ALWAYS have the homeowner inspect the installation before they leave, unless of course the homeowner is not home during the installation. In that case, they make a call the next day to make sure that everything is satisfactory.
That would drive me UP THE WALL and I could NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS live with that.
YOUR LATEST UPDATE??? NO!!! TELL THEM YOU'RE ESCALATING.
