Had one years ago, it's for the Christmas tree lights ! Mine was a small box with a foot press switch that you attach to your tree lights , goes under the tree so you don't have to unplug from the outlets, you just step on it to turn off the lights, mine was a small box wrapped like a gift , but with a step on switch..sorry that's the best way I can explain it , looked all over for one this year ... Don't know what to call it to look on line either .

Try Googling "step on light switch". I'll bet Lowe's or Home Depot will have what you want.
Maybe I looked in the wrong dept there, I looked in the Christmas dept , should have gone electrical
