I have to get wood flooring done at my house, and I am looking for an affordable/ cheaper option for wood installation. I have called several but most of them are very expensive. Good thing is that regardless of what area you are calling in, most of the vendors cover upto 50 miles.
Can you please recommend a vendor who sells as well as do the wood installation at better prices? Thanks much!
Are you talking about wood, engineered hardwood or Laminate? What is your overall budget?
Even a good quality laminate is not cheap. Expect installation done by a professional to be about 50% of the total cost.
Skimp on the quality of the product or the quality of the installation and you may as well not do it at all.
If you can't afford to do it right, it would be better to wait until you can. If you must update the flooring now, it might be better to go with carpeting until you can afford wood flooring. Carpet installation costs would be much less than the cost to install wood flooring.

Actually, he is pretty much dead on. You left out so much info that would help people be able to answer your question. First off, what is expensive to you and what is cheap to you? For all we know, you could have been quoted $1000 to do 2,000 sq/ft and you think this is expensive. Also, what type of wood? Do you want legit hardwood or would the cheap snap-together laminate suffice? You really need to elaborate on what you are wanting and what you have done so far.

Be very careful, wood floors are an expensive investment regardless of who you hire. Don't waste your hard earned money by buying expensive floors and hiring cheap contractors.
