I have a hamming sound when the dishwasher starts to wash. When the dishwasher fills with water no noise and pump seems to work good when draining with no bad noise. Only hammering starts when washer starts it's cycle. Could something have got into the pump that make water pressure? Hammering is so bad it shakes the whole house's pumbing.
The repair forum told me it's my dishwasher's water pump and motor that has gone bad and I found out they are wrong. I didn't have my water valve completely open and this fixed the problem. This repair forum makes money selling parts and the pump and motor would have cost me 129.00 if I have bought the part.
Hammering noises are usually caused by air in a water pipe.
