That is cool! I think a neighbor across the street has one of those; I see it going all the time, very, very late at night, and they're an older couple -- so I know they aren't sitting up watching back-to-back flicks!
I may get one -- looks terrific. Other than that, I just pray and sleep with a hammer and garden shears.
Use fragment retention film on the windows with the attachment part.. They prevent the glass from just shattering or breaking apart when hit and with the attachment the whole glass stays in the frame..
Put a coat hangar thru the chain for your garage door.. Even if they try and push it up it won't go... And you can just grab it off when you are ready to go...
Use Electric Shock (think stun gun) on the doors, so that when they are opened from the outside the person gets stunned...
I'm addressing a side door to the garage. If I were the criminals, that's where I'd break in: hidden from street view, tape and bust the glass, open door, automatic access.
If I were the criminals, I would also abort at the first sign of unexpected trouble.
Therefore, I'm going to put heavy steel screening behind the window, hidden by cloth. They break the glass..but there's now metal in the way. No good, plus, a homeowner who would pull something like that could have untold surprises. Next house.
Get a dog, mine are friendly dogs and would happily show the intruder around. However they bark like mad when someone comes in the driveway or is anywhere near the house. Burglars will move onto houses without dogs...
I used to work in the coal delivery business and without access to the coal bin which was often inside through a window I couldn't complete the delivery. Didn't happen often but people would occasionally forget to unlock the window or leave a door open. I've "broken into" more than one house either with the key in the obvious place or actually opening the window which was usually not that difficult if it was old one.

Professional burglars regularly point out that they pass on homes with small, yappy dogs
That said, small yappy dogs might well cost, as well as destroy, more than any burglar might make off with.
Was once told not to ever stop mail or newspaper delivery. Too many people know you're away.
Ask a neighbor to pick mail, packages, and papers.
If you don't have a neighbor you can trust who is willing to do this, move.
