Okay, now back to your regular scheduled program

Does it have a hepa filter? It's amazing how much stuff they trap.

Yepperz, it sure does Being an allergy sufferer, I wouldn't go any other way.

Well, I bought the Hoover Windtunnel 2 with the pet attachemnt, not for the pet but for the furniture
I am not happy at all For starters the brush on the furniture attachment stops turning on contact, what good is that? Emptying the "easy" to dump canister is a PITA!
The hose clamp they supplied was already broken on arrival.
Trying to get the wand out to use is a two person project.
Walmart isn't going to like me much when I tote it back in there today

YOU CAN ADD ME TO THE LIST! My bissell worked great for the first year. I likE HOW light weight it is. But it is just a pain cleaning out the countainer and filters. I use it daily and clean it daily but it still has lost it's power.

I bought a Dyson last year and sent my Dirt Devil to the office. Love my Dyson. Someone else told me they were told Bissell over Dyson so I checked. Every store I went I asked questions and the one thing that really got me was they all said that Bissells were returned more over any others. So that settled it. Dyson it is w/ the carpet and hard surface features. LOVE IT! We have a local vacuum cleaner store and that is all they do, vacuums. They are the only place in Dallas that gets damaged ones (new but damaged) and repairs them and sells them. I bought a perfectly new one not the repaired but this place has always done great when I had repairs to be done and reasonable. Being they are a Dyson dealer and refurbisher they can get the parts for me if needed. Gotta say I love stores that deal w/ one thing and one thing only - like some guy at Home Depot or Lowe's is gonna know a lot about vacuums .

Bag or Bagless?
So what is the consensus here.......Bag? or Bagless I have a bag, and it works, always a little leary of buying something different. I just got a new VCR player after 25yrs, also replaced a 30yr old tv. LOL. I made a mistake at not getting a DVD player. I am not real up on the times!
I am now wondering what DVD player to get

I have come to the conclusion that all vacuum cleaners suck. It's their job.

I love my Oreck. I think it weighs something like 8 lbs. And it does a fantastic job. I saw a Dyson's at the department store and I picked it up. Heavy. I asked the salesman and he said 18 lbs. It's just so easy to pull out the lightweight Oreck. I'd never go back to a heavier vac.

I much prefer a bagless over a bag vacuum. I like to see what's going on and because I have animals, it fills up with cat hair really fast, sometimes from just vacuuming one room. So I usually empty it three to four times a session. Bags to me are a PITA. Everyone here seems to agree that the Bissell works great for a year (as I said, I had two that broke down within a year each), but I'm not willing to spend on a Dyson and I like lightweight vacuums as well. And it looks like Cleosmom has discovered that the Hoover Windtunnel 2 is to be avoided as well.. That bites. I HATE buying something, only to cart it home after putting up with the hassle of buying it to find it doesn't work correctly or is defective
