Interesting...I don't know enough about it, but in the past I had DirecTV and cable internet but they both fed from the same cable. I'll have to do some more digging on that.

I recently did this in a home that was about 20 miles from the transmitters. It worked great, but I did need a signal amplifier to feed four televisions throughout the home. The HD signal was SO much better than the compressed junk I was getting from the local cable company.

There is a way to diplex the signals but I tried it a few different ways and never got it working, so I just ran a separate wire to each outlet and it worked great. It was really easy on the second floor since I was able to drop the wires right down from the attic. The first floor was more of a hassle but I was really lucky because I found an old coax that ran from the basement to the attic that I was able to use. I had two coax connections at each outlet- one for antenna and one for cable.

For reference, I used this antenna from Solid Signal: Winegard HD-1080 2-Bay Bowtie UHF and High Band VHF TV Antenna (HD-1080) from Solid Signal (Only $30!)
