Could this mean I need a new shower head? It's the only place I notice low pressure, and the pressure change is considerable.

You might try removing the shower head and clean the strainer. They will collect debris in the water and clog up, same goes for sink faucets.

Could be lots of things... Supply lines, control valve, or simple a clog at the shower head. Start with the simplest first unless you feel moisture/see puddling somewhere or here a hissing (which means pinhole leak).

Also, the shutoffs integrated into the valve may not be fully open or the cartridge itself is clogged.

Start with cleaning the shower head by removing it and soaking it in vinegar for an hour.

Or a large sandwich bag filled with CLR (Calcium Lime Rust) remover works well.

Did the "pressure" change or has it always been that way at that shower head?

It definitely changed. It changed considerably, rather quickly.

Just an update: I decided to just buy a new shower head. The previous one had been there when I bought the house 2 years ago. I decided I'd rather take this opportunity to pick out and buy the head/hose/etc that I want.

I removed the entire head and hose and installed the new one all by myself. I'm kind of proud!
