Default sandless floor refinishing

Has anyone ever had their hardwood floors refinished with a sandless method? There is a company that microscreens with a liquid (so there is no dust)then applies 4 coats of polyacrlic and you can walk on the floors the same day. It sounds almost too good to be true and I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

We had our floors screened rather than sanded and then finished. However that is different than what you are taking about. For us it worked great becuase we did nto want perfrect floors. We wanted to maintain the historic patina.

Thanks for the reply. Were your floors screened with a liquid solution?

Screening, is a form of sanding. On floors that are already finished- but dull to everyday traffic, they can be refinished (re-polyed). The screening is a very fine sanding that does not cut through to the stain/wood. It only etches the existing poly layer so the new poly will adhere.
The "liquid sanding" is nothing more than a chemical etch of the top layer of poly.

When most people think of sanding floors they think of sanding to bare wo (removal of all poly and stain).

Very timely thread. I was JUST looking at the Nhance website less than 10 minutes ago. I'd very much like to use a sandless service to refinish my floors, but like you, am concerned about the end result as it DOES seem too good to be true. Hopefully someone with direct experience will chime in...

Does anyone have any experience with Nhance? Our floors are dulled from 10 years of human and animal traffic and someone mentioned Nhance because it is supposedly dustless.
