Yes, absolutely. My house is only 15 years old, but I couldn't get out the ugly builder's faucet to put in a nicer one I bought purely for style reasons. I had to pay a plumber to do it, and even he had trouble. And I'd say both of us are stronger than the average person of our sex.

Give it a try, though. Nothing will go wrong as long as you shut the water off. If you succeed, putting in the new one is a piece of cake.

It takes the family handyman no more than 15 minutes to change out a bathroom faucett. I suggest that you call a handyman or plumber and just pay to have it done. The time you pay for will be very minimal.

Clear out under the sink before the plumber arrives to save time. If there are not shut off valves on each water line, have those installed. If the water lines are plastic hoses, have them changed to braided line.

Super easy. If you cannot remove the old faucet, you can just cut the nut with a dremel. This is probably the easiest home repair job there is.
