Help! I am in the process of buying an older home. The inspection revealed that the trusses separated from the beam about 6-8 inches all across the roof on one side of the roof. The other side is good. What does this mean? Can it be repaired? Who can repair it? How much will it cost. I love the house. Please advise.

What does this mean?
It means a roof truss has failed. That's a major structural component.

Can it be repaired?
Yes, as long as you have deep pockets, most anything can be fixed on a house.

Who can repair it?
You would start with a structural engineer who will evaluate the truss and why it failed. He would then design the fix. Depending on what the issue is, depends on who you would have perform the fix. There can be numerous reasons that you haven't stated that may the issue. It might not be a truss failure at all but something else that's causing the issue. Nobody here can see it and then it probably would be an educated guess at best.

How much will it cost
The engineer, probably 5-800 dollars. The fix can run from a few grand to 30,000 or more depending on what the engineers plans say. It may require the entire roof structure to come down and be replaced- it's a best guess on this forum as the description is far too vague.

You need to walk from any house that has structural issues. Invariably it starts out as an obvious defect and then spreads to something major. The failure may be due to a foundation issue which can lead to a plumbing failure. It could also have major termite damage or possibly an idiot that did some home repair work that really screwed up the structure- who knows. Unless the seller is willing to wait for you to get the house evaluated by an engineer, you need to walk away from this can of worms. It can get expensive quick and you still haven't bought the house.
