I am planning to remodel the kitchen.
What is the best for the counter-tops: granite or quartz, and why?

If you search you will find many threads on this subject, with many different opinions.

I prefer granite. It is classic and real, natural stone. Quartz is man made and in my opinion, looks fake and plastic.

I think it is mostly a matter of what you end up liking the most. I put quartz in my kitchen and 1/2 bath and I am in love with it.

I have granite in the kitchen but some quartz in our bathroom.

I much prefer the granite. It just looks and feels better.

Quartz is a natural mineral, not manmade. in fact, classic, real, natural granite is typically 20-50% quartz.

Get what appeals to you and what is in your price range.
Don't base your remodeling projects on internet opinion...

Yeah. But Quartz countertops ARE man made- versus granite which is just cut and finished.
