Two car garage with 2 cars in it. Though it's a typical new construction subdivision house and it's a tight fit even with a compact hatchback and a compact suv.

Please tell us the number of cars that are supposed to fit in your garage, (ie: it's a 2-car garage) and how many cars will actually fit into your garage under the configuration it is today!

I suspect that many of you will state that you can get less than the number of cars you're supposed to due to CLUTTER!
Two cars. Get a dumpster.

Our house has a 2-car garage that really only fits one. You can technically get 2 cars in there, but if you want to actually comfortably open a door and get in or out, it's a struggle. This size garage is standard where I live, and I'll never understand it.

It's supposed to be a two car garage, however it was built in 1924, and cars must have been slimmer. You can get the car in, but the configuration of the support system of the roof means you can't open the car doors on either side. And I buy small cars. So it's the garage.

SO -- yes -- it's filled with husband's future ebay sales.

My ideal shop would be 40x100 and I could fill it without problem with my old cars...
Perfect person to ask! I always say my garage was made for slimmer cars -- were the Model A's slimmer than todays cars?
