Inspired by Would you consider buying a home that doesn't have a garage? I pose the following question:

How many cars will actually fit in your garage?

Please tell us the number of cars that are supposed to fit in your garage, (ie: it's a 2-car garage) and how many cars will actually fit into your garage under the configuration it is today!

I suspect that many of you will state that you can get less than the number of cars you're supposed to due to CLUTTER!

2 car attached garage is storing 1 car and 1 van.

Detached building has 3 bays. 1 has a car, one has a truck the third has the ATV's and such.

That leaves us 1 car sitting outside.

Other buildings hold the tractors and such.

2 (I have a hot rod pickup project for my son in there, as well as an MGB restoration project in there right now). I'd love to have room for more. Next house will have rom to build at least a 6 car garage with workshop.

My current home was owned by a retire naval officer that restored show winning antique cars...

It has several garages...

The attached house garage is fine for two cars.

The 22 x 30 shop/garage currently has 6 cars shoehorned in... 2 Model T Speedsters, 2 Model A Roadsters, 1 Bantam 60 Roadster and one American Austin Coupe...

Under the shop is where I keep my Deere and Kubota backhoes...

My ideal shop would be 40x100 and I could fill it without problem with my old cars...

Two easily and it is a 2 car garage with extra space. Space to have the deep freezer and assorted tools. We only have one car so there is a ton of space. We are renting at the present time.

New build is a smaller 2 car garage. Since we only have the one car, it works for us and we will have room for the deep freezer, storage cabinet and the large tool chest. Plus assorted tubs of Christmas decor.

I will be getting shelving, and assorted organizational things, mounted to the walls or ceiling. I really don't like clutter and organizing is my OCD thing

Two car garage and my SUV and my husband's Super Cab full size pickup will also fit in it, in a pinch, though we have to move bicycles to get it in there (for instance, during a storm warning).

I always park in the garage - can't stand to leave my vehicle out.

3 car garage, 2 vehicles parked inside and one bay is reserved for our bicycles and camping equipment.

We have had 3 vehicles in the garage until I sold one of my cars and bought a couple more bicycles.

NO clutter allowed in the garage and my kids know that I am militant about protecting my garage. If they leave their belongings in the garage I will put them in a trash bag and put it in the back yard. They believe me because I have done it.

2 car garage + 1 car garage. Looks like this configuration. Both cars go in 2 car and 3rd car garage is used as workshop/storage.
