I sealed the back of my AC due to colder weather coming, I then decided to turn it onI forgot that I sealed the back of my AC and when I realized this I quickly shut off my AC and opened my windows.

Anyone know if this causes Carbon Monoxide?

Sometimes, I can't believe what I'm reading.

Does this type of reading cause carbon monoxide poisoning? Or maybe I've been inhaling carbon monoxide gas and it's making me delirious?

Is that just the of our society today? One is concerned about his/her action causing carbon monoxide poisoning. Hmm.. lets go on the Internet and ask. Instead, one should go on the Internet and find a reliable site and read and learn about carbon monoxide.

Is the air conditioner powered by propane, natural gas, or coal?

I probably would have left propane out of the list considering that a complete burn yields carbon DIOXIDE and water vapor. But then again, maybe the cover was restricting the oxygen so there wasn't a complete burn; resulting in carbon monoxide.(?)

If someone is trying to heat their house using the thermodynamic inefficiency of an air conditioner, a little carbon monoxide poisoning is probably a good thing.

Maybe it's an Arkla Servel gas fueled absorption unit from the 50s... Or maybe the OP is just clueless...

Ooo. Coal fired or natural gas AC also releases massive quantities of radon. Lung cancer here we come.
