I have wood flooring in my common areas, travertine in the bathroom, and carpet in the bedrooms. People love the layout/finishings of the place and that seems to be the "go to" for those buying where I am.

If the whole house (or maybe the open areas, excluding bedrooms) is done in a tile that slightly clashes with your paint, why don't you just repaint in a color that works better with the tile? Assuming the tile is in reasonable shape. You didn't indicate how long it's been since the house was repainted, but it may be time to repaint anyway.
