Oh they were all the rage decades ago....I remember most people had them in their homes...something similar to that anyways...wall to wall carpet in the bathroom, plus the toilet tank, lid and the seat cover covered in carpet.
It's weird too think about it now, because yes, its really a germ nightmare if you think about it....and looks funny. But back then, they were so commonplace, you really didn't think a lot about them.
However, there was absolutely nothing then on the order of the poop, pee & toilet obsession that one encounters over and over again in C-D forums. I'm coming to the conclusion that this must be a new American pornography for "nice people." My favorite was on "flying poop particles" in the bathroom, which enjoyed a level of hysteria not seen in America since the Salem witch trials.
Isn't it a miracle that we didn't all die of E.Coli contamination before all the "enlightened" germophobe home designers started harping about flying poop particles on toilet seat covers? LOLOLOL
Those same bathrooms had the bar of ivory soap on the side of the sink that everyone used. Just a flashback!
