In a shut off toilet located in an abandoned building (closed-down government installation) on an island in the Aleutians. It was one of the few toilets that did NOT have a dead rat in it - they drank the antifreeze that had been used to winterize the toilets and died head-down. Needless to say it was gross, but boy I needed to at the time.
Mine was a smelly hole in the floor in Padua, Italy in a co-ed bathroom of a large restaurant. Yuck!
(I've done the Japanese holes in the ground in parks, like in Nara, and yes, also nasty, but the Italian place was worse. I am thankful that I didn't need to use the facilities until after I had dinner.)
Same here, except all of the ones I've encountered at train stations in Africa have all been worse than any of the ones I've encountered in Italy.
My son used to attend Raves (musical shows) at a local venue. He would stop eating and drinking hours before the shows so he wouldn't have to use the men's bathroom there. He would start to gag just remembering how bad they were.
Where is the worst place I did anything.... anything I did while in USMC basic training... and we were out in the field "camping out" in the cold rain and my fingers were so cold I (female) could barely get my pants unbuttoned. Then after? I just did my belt and gave up on the buttons. btw, I chose doing this instead of eating.
I will say my bunkie was kind enough to lend me her nimble fingers to button buttons, tie laces.... she was awesome.
Gary, Indiana ... In the 1970s, at a gas station after dark, five white people in a car, the driver did NOT want to stop but did and stood guard while the females went to the bathroom. Very memorable!
porta pottys on a hot, humid day at a large super busy outdoor event like a festival or outside concert. Its worse than coming across a dog that has been sprayed by a skunk
When we took road trips as a family when I was young, it seemed that I always had to pee between stops. My dad would stop the car alongside the road. I would hop out, run behind a bush, and do my business.
