That's a little messed up.

I never saw our street as an overly friendly place, but we evidently are unusual.

If you attempt to talk to the guy, and he gives you the finger.............I think "rational" has left the neighborhood.

Talking to someone about the weather usually goes well.

Talking to someone because you disapprove of his behavior rarely goes well.

To the posters who say............"just go over and talk to your neighbor"...
How well do you take a neighbor voicing disapproval of your behavior ?

Ha Ha! Very funny.....

There are so many stories of DRONE OWNERS BEHAVING BADLY. That last story I mentioned is truly sad. Pretty lady doing a little topless sunbathing by her PRIVATE pool, creepy neighbor sends his drone over to get some video footage so he can post it online, boyfriend had stepped inside to grab a beer, came back out and saw the drone hovering over his girlfriend, threw his beer at the drone. It then spiraled down on top of her, slicing and dicing as it fell. Cut her nose off. The doctors managed to reattach it but she'll need several surgeries to set it right again.

Also read a story about a father in Kentucky that shot down a drone that was hovering over his young daughter as she sunbathed by their pool one afternoon. The father was charged at first but the judge later dismissed the charges.

Yeah, pull the other one, it's got bells on.

Some one flying a Drone for run is one thing, but flying a Spy Drone is another thing. Its would be easy to tell the difference between the two. I don't care about the run flyer, but would take out the Drone that's spying. A transmitter and a broad band signal that covers the range of control frequencies for Drones would likely do the trick, by freezing or sending erratic control signals. The transmitter would just need more power than the owner has in his control box, which is not a problem.

"run"? or "fun"?
How can you tell the difference between the two kinds of drones? Well video drones have a camera on board for the main tell tale. The camera may be a 2" cube hanging underneath, or hidden completely inside the aircraft. Having a camera is no proof of intent to spy. How can you know the motive of the pilot? You might evaluate the behavior of a drone hanging around your place, i guess?
You may have only a vague idea how radio control works these days? It used to be that aircraft were controlled by radios operating on a fixed frequency. Knock down might have worked in the last century, but not anymore. Short form is there is a digital signal sent to the aircraft from a handheld transceiver which has encoded control signals. Then there can be an encoded signal sent from the aircraft to the transceiver which includes a low res video feed and system status (Volts, altitude, temperatures, GPS location, etc.,). Sometimes the pilot wears goggles so they can view the linked video. (First person point of view.)
The encoded aircraft and ground systems are linked to each other. The systems are frequency agile which means they change frequency many times a second, just like your cell phone. Oh, and different manufacturers have different encoding methods.
I can't figure how a interfering transmitter would work. The system frequency changes rapidly and to random frequencies. It would be hard to find you operating your transmitter, but interfering with an FCC licensed operation would probably be illegal, as well as fruitless.
One of the advantages of this system is that many aircraft can fly at the same place and at the same time without the need to assign and manage frequencies. They don't interfere with each other, and you would not either.
"Its just a small matter of programming"

Well that's because the headline,
"Hundreds of thousands of enthusiasts across the nation operated their radio control aircraft, boats, tanks, and cars with no issues for the public this week."
would not make the evening news.

That's irrelevant because OP reported a drone use that "the public" has issues with.

No, that is completely the point. The media reports sensational happenings, not the ordinary day to day operation of radio controlled toys that is harmless. So saying that there are lots of bad drone pilots about would make some think that any drone is snooping for views of naked people.
