hi I have a question ok I live in apartment I been having problems with my next door neighbors for like a few years now and idk starting this year 2018 my neighbor end up getting a little wifi camera that u get at a store will she put the camera out side her door facing my door recording me listing to all my conversation and I don't feel safe at all I told the manager more then once and nothing is happening but my question is that call invading my privacy cant they get a lawsuit against them
Put a little radio outside your door, quietly playing talk radio. Add a smiley face to it if you want.
I have had to listen to and watch security footage. It is about the most boring and enervating thing I can think of other than watching paint dry. Realistically, no one has time to watch others.
I do not think she is spying on you and I doubt she can hear anything. She is simply wanting to see who is at her front door and in tight living situations, she can see other things such as your front door. No defending her, just saying.
Harry has the answer for you. A small radio that doesn't necessarily have to be loud will keep the camera on for days at a time. It'll drive yer neighbor nutz trying to see what has happened only to listen to radio....for days. My sister went thru this exact same thing with the whack job that lived across from her. Whacko Lady moved out after that. You might luck out and have your problem neighbor move out too.
You could always call the cops and ask them if it's legal. Worst case scenario, they tell you it's legal. If it's not, they'll talk to your neighbor and tell them they can't do it anymore. That's what I'd do anyway.
I'm pretty sure a person has a right to install a camera at their front door regardless of your opinion. I won't alarm you by mentioning license plate readers.
I don't think those cameras record sound though doors.
This was my first thought. OP, are you having long conversations outside your door??
Those cameras have become very popular and widely used by many people. It seems like I saw one installed in one out of five houses when I took my daughter trick or treating this past Halloween.
