We're almost finished with our house renovation and will be listing it soon.
The last thing we need to buy is the kitchen sink. (We've got everything but the kitchen sink. )
With no other details given, what is your favorite type of kitchen sink?
Do you like stainless or other?
Do you like double sinks?
Do you like the farmhouse sinks?
I like the look of farmhouse sinks. I like depth and space, basically. Whenever next time comes around I will look into either one large sink or a wide sink with two sections but both wide enough for dinner plates and pans. Don't like the small section.
I have a porcelain enamel over cast iron sink and do NOT recommend it - you get tiny scratches, stains, etc. - don't even think about dropping something in there - CHIP!!! - I wish I had gone w/a stainless steel sink (hindsight is 20/20)
Love the farmhouse look, prefer porcelain, and like two basins - but only if one of them is BIG. I would prefer one large enough to put a baking sheet in than two where it wouldn't fit in either. Like the integrated drainboard, too. Overmount.
Love these ideas. There's no dishwasher so a double sink may be better. It's not a large house and we have a well. It didn't have a dishwasher when we got it and it's not really configured right to put one in.
Stainless would work better with our fixtures and I love the drainboard sinks. I have a dehydrator that I love to use but the trays won't fit in the sink which is so frustrating. I've washed them in the bathtub before! I'm with you on the large sink!
