Put "buy a new blender" into your annual budget. Toss this and buy a new one. Some small appliances are made to be disposable. A small blender is one of those.

I've got a Hamilton Beach. Not even sure where I got it. Actually had two of them. Showed up. One burned out a couple years ago I think. The other is still going. It's gotta be at least 5 years old now and I've done nothing to take care of it.
