Also, it leaks directly into the toilet, so that's convenient. But anyways, I decided to call a roofer today and couldn't get an appointment until mid-November, but I took it anyway. Then I called two more roofers to check their availability and they said that they were totally booked up. I was surprised, but I see now that I'll have to be proactive about having the roof inspected regularly before I have problems.
The water is also seeping into the drywall and along the framing.

Unavailability of trades correlates to a booming housing market and the aftermath of storms. I have in the past had to book the roofers a year in advance because of a boom. But the problem you are experiencing does not require a roofer to fix it.
You can solve this problem on your own with good results. The leak is caused by the stack flashing lifting away from the shingles. All you need is a can of "roofing" tar (Home Depot), a 2 inch paint brush, ladder, gloves. Get up on the roof and paint the tar around the stack flashing covering all around it in a thick layer.
Take care to push tar into spots that are letting the water in and smooth it out. Let it dry overnight and "Voila" problem solved. Best not to apply when it's expected to rain.

OP needs a handyman not a roofer. Most roofing contractors don’t seem to be interested in small jobs like that, and if they are they will charge a small fortune.

Must be your area, no problem getting a roofer around here.

Instead of trying to get a roofer, get a handyman person to check out the exhaust fan to see if it is vented properly (unvented could be creating moisture that is dripping) and if vented is the seal around it leaking. A simple caulking around the vent out of the roof may fix your leak with no roofer required.

I’ve scheduled a handyman to check it out this week. Thanks!

They are profiting mightily from the storm damage. They are going to do the easy money, unverifiable work where they can fly by night unknowing marks.

In Florida and Since One Year ago, it's easier to find a brain surgeon than a qualified Roofing Co or Qualified Roofer to do something in your Homestead.

And beware of the Out Of State Scammers, never fails that many people fall pray to them and lose money, time and their sight with nothing getting done ever.

I'm in line to replace my barrel tiled roof for 4 months in line, and it will not happen until April or May in 2019...I know the Roofer personally and I trust him to the end, so all we can do is hope and pray that between now and Spring 2019 all is well when the job can take place.

If not, we all got Insurance...and By gosh ..one day I may have to use it !!

The flashing is probably leaking. A tube of silicone roof sealer is $8. Try it and see. You might save yourself an arm and a leg and a long wait/runaround from the roofing outfit.

Good luck finding a roofing company who is willing to take care of a small-area leak if they weren't the ones who installed the roof. At least not until the "slow" season, assuming there is one where you live. Here in the northeast that means December.

The last time I called a roofing company in for what I thought was a small-area leak they ended up re-roofing the entire back upper roof of the house. Now THAT is the kind of job they will do in a timely fashion.

Otherwise you are pretty much stuck with trying to get a general contractor to take care of it.

That's not easy with a small job either. I have had a replacement shower door in my garage for 3 months because nobody "has the time" to come over and swap it for the defective-glass one plus install an additional shelf into a shower wall. They are all 'booked up'.

I just hired a mason contractor who gave me the last available job slot for the season, which is early November. And it's not a small job either. If there's any delay I'll be stuck waiting until April for it. :-(
