I have wasted too much money on repairmen thru the years.

I now buy mid price point at Home Depot and add the 5 year warranty. If it dies after 5 years I will buy another.

My current fridge is stainless front, freezer on top. 5 year warranty. Less than $1000 delivered.

well finally got the fridge to kick back an error code and after calling samsung and going through the reset process to clear the code after running the process to see if it would kick back an error. and low and behold the same code came up the samsung rep confirmed it's a problem with the motherboard in the door ugh. time to toss it as those repairs don't come cheap!!!

Check the net and repair parts sites for instructions on how to replace the control board. You may find it a simpler and less costly job than you expect, if you do it yourself. That said, I'm not a fan of Samsung for a variety of reasons.

We never buy the extended warranty and Iím so glad we did with our 2016 Kenmore fridge. The compressor went out less than a year in. The warranty covered the $1100 cost of a new compressor. Last week, same thing. The tech comes tomorrow. It takes a week to get someone out and another week to get the part.

Samsung ice makers stop making ice about every 3 months. Have to remove the ice container and use a blow dryer to melt the ice build up.Known engineering debcale. They are junk.

i have a samsung fridge that's 6 years old. it's starting to let go as it's not freezing ice cream as when i took my ice cream out over the weekend and i was like soup as well as it won't freeze my white castle burgers as there soft also. with the freezer set to minus 4 degrees everything should be rock hard. i just had the unit recharged not to long ago and here we are having the same issue as well.. and the compresser never shuts off when it gets cold inside it just keeps running constant 24-7.

thoughts and inputs on this
Six years is the new norm. Replace it with a domestic and keep the money here.
