We received stuff from storage that they were able to save like the Freezer in garage, washer, dryer, and refrigerator. But when we received them , we were in for a big surprise.

Because they use an ozone generator anything white plastic turned a yellow color. For some reason in the freezer inside there was a orangish gold splatter everywhere. I tried to clean it , it won't come out. The freezer within a minute of plugging it in became so hot, we unplugged it.

The washer was damaged on the side, but its a front loader so the door as closed for a year , as you can imagine mold/mildew smell was overwhelming. I ran the washer 4 times with Clorox still its bad.

The refrigerator has the same splatter on the back wall of freezer, and near the ice maker there is mold.

I told them they have to be replaced as I don't think health wise its safe. Just my opinion.

I will never let any of my stuff be ozone treated again. It has ruined more than its saved.

Bottom line if we hadn't gotten them out of storage before the closing of the claim we would have been responsible to pay for all new appliances ourselves. So watch your claim date to make sure your items are covered. Its for one year only.

Our house still won't be completed for 2 more months.

Ozone is a potent oxidant so I’m surprised you got discoloration. Glad it was caught.
