Hi All-I'm hoping someone can recommend a product to clean my stove. I have a gas stove and it's black metal? or something under the grates. What do you use to clean yours? I've tried windex, lysol kitchen cleaner etc, but I usually have to clean it over and over because there are streaks or I can still see "spots" left over from say grease, but there is no actual grease on it. What have you had luck with? For now I just use windex and wipe it 3 or 4 times to get the streaks off, but still no luck with the spots. Thanks!

I use white vinegar. For the cooked spills, I use baking soda and if that doesn't work, Barkeeper's Friend. After rinsing well, then vinegar to get the last bits up.

After cooking when I am doing the dishes I clean the stove with dishwashing soap, water, and a no scratch sponge. After I get any grease cleaned then I use windex to shine it up. It seems to work well. If it's really bad I might use a little soft scrub.

I have the same problem with my gas stove. Getting my house ready to put up for sale, and the stove, just a year old, looks pretty unsightly. I have to admit, as a single full-time working mom, I tend to clean sporadically, and the grease stains have built up. I have seen the Magic Eraser by Mr. Clean recommended for this on online sites, and just bought one. I'll let you know how it works. Someone also suggested the cleaner "Bam". Has anyone used that before?

Two words - Grease Lightening, forget the windex.
